Contains 15 whole leaf, plastic free, biodegradable tea pyramids.
They can be used to make 30 cups of tea or more.

- They are totally plastic free, made from cornstarch which is 100% biodegradable. Once you've enjoyed your cuppa, put the bag in your food bin, as they'll take years to compose on a home compost.

- The inner bag which holds the tea bags is also biodegradable - it's derived from paper! Put this in your food bin too.

- And don't forget to recycle the box! It can biodegrade too, but recycling is the most eco-friendly option.

Ingredients: Chamomile, Roobios, Valerian Root, Lime Flowers, Lavender, Cornflowers

Place 1 whole leaf tea bag in a 300ml cup
Pour freshly boiled water over it
Brew for 5-10 minutes, or leave the bag in your mug to drink if you like it strong
If you remove bag from cup, keep it in a small bowl by your kettle so that you can reuse it
When you're half way through your cup, add the bag and more hot water (or just more hot water if you've kept the bag in!).
Leave the bag in and take a moment with your cuppa.
It's not recommend adding milk, but honey is a perfect sweet addition.

How Many Cups Can I Drink A Day?

NHS guidelines recommend a maximum 3 cups of any herbal tea a day. Whilst this tea is not a drug, and is a natural remedy, you should give it 3-5 days to have an impact. The impact of natural galactagogues will vary person to person.

Is It Safe For Pregnant Mums?

Yes.  We recommend following NHS guidelines and drinking a maximum 3-4cups of any herbal tea a day.  But in these quantities, research from Sweden shows that valerian had no adverse effect on pregnancy, and all the natural sleep aid ingredients can help you to sleep if you have pregnancy insomnia, if you're later in motherhood and just need a gentle nudge into sleep.

Always seek medical advice first.

Is it safe for Breastfeeding Mums?

All the ingredients in Night Owl have been carefully balanced to ensure it's safe for breastfeeding.

Just stick within NHS guidelines of no more than 4 cups of one type of herbal tea a day, in order to ensure you are safe.

And you can try having a cup of Night Owl one hour before the final feed of the day - it's calming benefits should pass on to your baby through your milk, and hopefully make bed time a little easier!

Tasting Notes

Delicate and balanced – the lightness of chamomile with a lavender undertone

The blend was carefully designed to contain enough Valerian Root to help relax you, but not have too overtly ‘woody’ a taste. Likewise, the percentage of the lavender was carefully chosen to ensure it isn’t overpowering, but lifts the blend.

Lime flowers are also known as linden flowers and give this blend a sweet aroma which pairs perfectly with it’s chamomile base.

Rooibos adds a touch of Seville Orange sweetness.

HotTea Mama don’t recommend adding milk or sugar, but follow your cravings and personal taste!
